This squirrel is sitting backlit on the wall behind my house. Squirrels in Forest Falls, California (San Bernardino Mountains) somehow seem to have incredibly wonderful bushy tails, and enormously larger than most squirrels I have seen! I enjoyed doing this piece in gouache, as you can really utilize the translucency of this medium for the soft backlighting and the vignette wash around him. This print measures 7" x 5" and is a Giclee Paper Print.
