The playful expression you recognize on your own cat, can be spotted just as readily on a young cougar in the wild!  Practicing her stalking techniques, this adolescent cub very much wanted to play. But she is captive rescued and what is not apparent in this painting is that she was peering over the edge of a pool and I was the object she was stalking to ‘play’ with, as I photographed her a few feet away.
