Located in Maine, New England, this background represents one of the most northerly habitats of the bobcat.  Generally speaking, bobcats are found in the lower 48 states, while the American lynx is found in Alaska and across the Canadian border.  With the minimal background, attention is drawn more to the texture, shape and detail of the animal. A cats' natural behavior, when not sleeping, is to be quietly observing its surroundings, alert to any movement.
