This river otter overlooking the Yellowstone River has access to its main food source throughout the winter, thanks to the heated waters of this National Park.  As these creatures are sensitive to pollution in water, Yellowstone makes an excellent home for them but despite the large numbers they are still rare to see.  River otters are very playful creatures, peaceful in nature and wonderful to observe.
